EPM Partners has been partnering with corporate and government Project Management Offices (PMOs) across Australia since 2008. We believe that well-deployed, well-managed and well-supported Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools significantly improve the efficiency and the effectiveness of project, program and portfolio management. This ensures better outcomes and accelerates benefits realisation. PPM is our business. It’s all we do and we do it well.
We choose to work exclusively with Microsoft’s Project Portfolio Management tools (Project Online or Project Server). It’s the most flexible and scalable PPM tool, it supports organisations across all levels of project management maturity.
Our experienced and well-respected consultants provide our clients with the best professional services to make sure that the tool, the people and the processes are aligned to deliver optimal value. In working with a diversity of Australian organisations, our consultants’ knowledge and experience grows with each engagement: learnings that benefit all customers, both new and existing.
Let us work with you to turn project portfolio management noise into music.
Microsoft PPM is a flexible solution for Project Portfolio Management and everyday work. It provides options for small, medium and large organisations to support either lightweight or rigorous approaches to PPM. It enables and encourages collaboration across the entire project team.
We uniquely provide our customers with the flexibility of choosing how they access Microsoft PPM and the level of control required.
EPM Partners’ clients have the choice of three Microsoft PPM deployment options to consider:
Software-as-a-Service on the Microsoft’s Office365 service
Software-as-a-Service on EPM Partners’ Microsoft Azure farm
Hosted on your own infrastructure
Additionally, we have developed a range of online services and Apps that integrate with Microsoft PPM, enabling greater capabilities around configuration, reporting and integration.
We offer a range of Consulting Services to help our customers implement Microsoft PPM.
Our experienced consultants will align Microsoft’s PPM tools to your business requirements – from basic project management functions like Time & Schedule Management, Resource Management, Scope Management, Issues & Risks Management and Costs Management, to more advanced capabilities like Project Portfolio Management, Demand Management, Portfolio Analysis & Selection, Program Management and Financial Control.
Our consultants may challenge the status quo in proposing alternative ways of doing things: we deliver best-practice advice, adding value well-beyond just set-up and configuration.
Reporting and Business Intelligence are key elements of our consulting service. Whether the report is operational (for example Project Status Report), analytical (for example Portfolio Report) or a smart Dashboard, we make sure that the data captured in your PPM tool is converted to valuable information that’s timely, accessible and reliable.
We offer a set of Managed Services to ensure that the PPM implementation achieves its objectives and realises the benefits anticipated. These are our Care Services.
Support: A level-two application support service to resolve issues and manage incidents raised by the PPM administrator.
Administration: This is the day-to-day administration and maintenance service of the solution. The service covers the maintenance of user accounts, security model changes, documentation, system fine-tuning, usage recommendations and level-one support.
Training: On-site business and technical training to up-skill users, or refresh their knowledge and skills. For all users – Project Managers, Team Members, Portfolio Managers, Program Managers, Resource Managers and Executives, and of course, for the PMO team.
Monitoring: Regular monitoring of system usage and data quality to ensure that the system is being used as intended. Monitoring will identify variances from the customer’s portfolio, program and project management processes, standards and plans.
Change Management: Onsite-delivered services that ensure successful user-adoption of the PPM tool. Senior consultants, often using Monitoring information, will preach the PMO message, encourage user engagement, verify PMO cycles are happening, synchronise user roles and processes, and deliver one-on-one coaching as required for project managers, executives, resource managers and team members.
