EPM Partners has been partnering with corporate and government PMOs across Australia since 2008. We believe that well-deployed, well-managed and well-supported Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools significantly improve the efficiency and the effectiveness of project, program and portfolio management. This ensures better outcomes and accelerates benefits realisation. PPM is our business. It’s all we do and we do it well.
We choose to work exclusively with Microsoft’s technologies such as Project Online, Project Server, SharePoint, PowerBI and Dynamics. It’s the most flexible and scalable technologies set, it supports organisations across all levels of project, program and portfolio management maturity.
Our experienced and well-respected consultants provide our clients with the best professional PPM consulting services to make sure that the tool, the people and the processes are aligned to deliver optimal value. In working with a diversity of Australian organisations, our consultants’ knowledge and experience grows with each engagement: learnings that benefit all customers, both new and existing.
One of the most important factors to being a successful PMO is the visibility of project information, which should be both real-time and accurate. The availability of such information ensures that stakeholders are always informed and, more importantly, engaged, without stakeholders having to navigate through endless numbers and notes.
It is important that organisations that have multiple and competing initiatives ensure that they choose the ‘right’ initiatives or projects. Project Portfolio Optimisation (PPO) helps PMOs prioritise the initiatives in the pipeline, as well as reducing the costs to deliver the same value (or benefits), or to increase value for the same costs.
Changes in projects’ and programs’ scope, budget, timelines and even priorities are almost certain. Successful PMOs don’t try to stop this from happening, they structure themselves and their processes in away that accommodates and supports such changes so that they occur in the least disruptive manner to achieve the best outcomes in the most efficient way.
