EPM Partners is excited to announce that it has successfully completed a major upgrade to its cloud platform EPMonDemand. The upgrade ensures better performance and introduces some new features.
“The most important aspect of the upgrade is EPM Partners’ strategic decision to move EPMonDemand platform to Microsoft’s Azure Australia datacentre”, says Laith Adel EPM Partners’ General Manager.
“Moving to Azure was an obvious decision. We needed datacentres that provide an enterprise-grade cloud platform, while maintaining clients’ data sovereignty”.
The move to Microsoft Azure has enabled EPM Partners to utilise the latest and most robust technologies for cloud platforms such as Azure AD, Azure Traffic Manager and Azure BackUp. Further, it will allow the introduction of other exciting Azure services such as Azure Automation (elastic resource scaling for reactive maintenance of performance), BizTalk Services (to enable real-time integration with clients’ on-premises solutions), Data Factory and Event Hubs.
The upgrade also included the addition of more resources to the platform (more servers, computing grunt, memory and storage), the application of the latest software patches, enhancements to the disaster recovery (DR) plans and test environments, and the introduction of new features such as tasks aggregation, user profiles/my sites, advanced reporting and other enhanced BI features.
“EPM Partners’ management team is very excited about this upgrade”
Says Stuart Penny, Managing Director.
“EPMonDemand has grown from a simple hosting platform for Microsoft Project Server from its launch in late 2010 to a highly-sophisticated cloud-based PPM platform that provides very mature Project and Portfolio Management functions. The number of clients on the the platform today, coupled with the move to Microsoft Azure, means that EPMonDemand has become one of Australia’s most trusted PPM cloud-based tools. I am looking forward to growing the customer base (both here and internationally) in the years ahead.”
