Timesheet Error – ‘There has been an error processing a timesheet for which you are/were responsible’
This error will appear in the project server queue as ‘Failed and Blocking Correlation’ generally as a ‘Timesheet Review’ job type:
Reason:
The timesheet manager is trying to approve timesheets and due to either a large amount of traffic or trying to approve multiple timesheets at once (selecting all timesheets via the approval screen and clicking ‘approve’ to perform a bulk approval), the timesheets fail to approve successfully.
A common indicator is for the timesheet status to appear as ‘error’. The timesheet manager will also see errors on his/her approval views. These errors are important as they specify the timesheets that have errors and the corresponding periods/resources.
Solution:
The timesheet manager needs to recall the timesheet by selecting the offender in his/her timesheet approval views ‘Approved by me’ or ‘timesheets available to adjust’ and RECALL.
When the timesheet manager then re-approve the timesheet individually, the job should go through successfully.
The jobs in the queue should also disappear and process accordingly.
